Educational Consultation 

Our educational consultants work with students, families and schools to improve educational experiences. We advise our clients on a variety of educational needs and services available to their families. We work diligently with families to ensure positive and ongoing partnership with their local schools to help their children to love learning and use their education  to succeed. Brilliant Minds consultants also analyze  and advise families with situations (suspensions, bullying, explosion, alternative school, out-of-district placement), offer professional advice to families about their rights and how to navigate and get the best outcome for their family. 

 

Parent Advocate

Our parent advocacy service champions the rights and interests of students and their families within the special education system. Our ultimate goal is empowering parents  with disabled children in navigating the complex world of the special education system. Brilliant Minds special education advocates help parents make sure their child's special needs are met. We help parents understand available services, interpret test results, and work with schools to plan individualized education programs (IEPs) as well as ensuring that schools adhere to accommodation in the IEP with fidelity. When necessary, we accompany families to Child Study Team meetings and advocate for parents. We work closely and in partnership with families and school officials to ensure that classified students  receive the best possible educational experiences in a least-restrictive environment.
